lyrics

There's a man on the corner holding a sign
He paints a new one every day
And as we snicker, think he's quaint
His messages are hard to figure out
So everyone assumes he's out of his mind
Maybe the jokes on on

Is it what he's saying
Or perhaps what he's doing
Stepping back and jumping off of the train
The one we ride on every day
Does it every take us where we wanna go
Or perhaps to where we think we have to go

Our daily routine lacking imagination
So that we can aquire more things
So that we can feel safe
So we can survive

Is there another way to survive
Do we have to live off the machine
Can't we live off of the earth
Will there be any earth left
Is the machine stealing it from us
Or are we the machine

The Machine is breaking
I don't think we should try to fix it
Lets all stumble around and find a new way to live
Like outlaws
